WWDC Worldwide Developers Conference

Apple's WWDC developer event is nearly here! Apple's yearly WWDC event is where it announces the latest updates to the software running on its Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TVs and other devices. At WWDC 2017, expect major updates for iOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS. Apple may also unveil new hardware: a new iPad Pro is widely expected, and a Siri speaker looks like a possibility. This year, Apple's famous week-long WWDC event runs from 5-9 June 2017, and will be held at the McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California.

Microsoft Outlook not staying set as default mail application?

Need to set Microsoft Outlook 2015 as your default application on Mac OS X Yosemite or El Capitan? Using the preferences from Mail.app doesn't save Outlook as the 'Default email reader'… A solution is to open Mail, and on the general tab, instead of using the drop down menu to select Outlook, Click on Select and browse to the Applications folder and select Microsoft Outlook.

Check your iPod with Diagnostics Mode

If you suspect that that your iPod's hard drive has started to fail: Take your iPod and place your right thumb on the centre SELECT button and your left on the top MENU button. Press down both thumbs for about 6 seconds until your iPod reboots. Immediately move your left thumb around to the rewind button |<< on the left and hold this down together with SELECT for a further 6 seconds. Your iPod should now switch into Diagnostic Boot mode.
